Ghost Rider at Kennesaw Mountain

This is a story that Paul Crawley did for 11Alive News in Atlanta, GA a few years back. He met me on the Marietta Square for the interview and so I could met with a gentleman that had a ghostly encounter. The encounter happened earlier that October on one of the roads that crosses the Kennesaw battlefield. He told me that a Civil War horse and rider crossed the road directly in front of him and his son only to pass right through a fence and ride off into the darkness. One interesting point that I wish would have made the final cut was what else he told me. He said that after slamming on his brakes to watch the horse pass he noticed that another car coming toward him had also stopped. Meaning that the horse and rider had crossed the road directly between the two vehicles. He sat there trying to piece what just happened together as the other vehicle pulled along side of his and asked “Ok!?… You did just see that too? Right?”

I think the story is an awesome one and I truly believe the gentleman I interviewed. Now I am always on the lookout for the Ghost Rider during my drives through the battlefields at night. (fingers crossed)
