Lawrenceville Historic Cemetery EVP

Lawrenceville Historic Cemetery Gate
The gates to the Lawrenceville Historic Cemetery.

We spend part of our investigations asking questions in hopes of getting responses.  We do get answers to some of these questions but far more often we record seemingly random statements, words, questions and at time requests.  When we receive answers to questions that we are later able to verify it leads me to believe that at least some of the voices we record are from an intelligent haunting and that they are able to “see” us or at the very least hear us.  The more random voices we capture, however, makes me wonder if all the spirits we encounter are truly aware of what has happened to them, or even that they have passed.

This EVP falls under the latter…
Laurie recorded this EVP during our first investigation of The Lawrenceville Historic Cemetery in Lawrenceville, GA. The voice she recorded isn’t answering a question but instead asks one of its own. The question he asks opens even more questions that, as an investigator, I have to consider. Is he aware he has died? Is he talking to us? If not, who is he talking to? Or… Are we recording a moment in history where this question was asked of someone he was with?

What do you think?

Allatoona Pass EVP

Allatoona_Pass_2-9-08_019Casey captured this creepy voice during one of our investigations of the pass.  What makes this EVP interesting is the events leading up to it being recorded.  The team was on the trails on the lake side of the pass when they all saw a dark figure of a man ahead of them.  The figure looked to be an actual person so the team called out to it to say hello and to see who it was.  This caused the man to take off running through the woods.  Tim, being in law enforcement and fearing that the individual messing with us, gave chase.  Chasing the figure through the woods Tim caught up to him just as the trail took a sharp turn.  The man ran straight at the bend and off the side of a small cliff vanishing into the night sky.  Tim was so close to the form that he couldn’t see that the cliff was coming and luckily caught hold of a tree to keep from falling off the cliff.  It was just after this that the recorder picked up this male sounding voice.  At the end of the clip you will hear Casey saying “dang”.

What we hear is “excuse me!” in a very creepy voice.

FlameTree Glass EVP

Here is an EVP we recorded during our first investigation of FlameTree Glass in Roswell, GA.

Ed captured this EVP during the final sweep of our investigation. We decided that since the owners where present and they are the ones that reported the activity, we would include them in the final extended EVP session. In this clip you will hear Ed asking Lance and Maureen to go to where they would normally be sitting. While he is saying this he also recorded a nice EVP.

We hear a voice mockingly repeat the owners name… “Lance”

Blackshear Home #2 EVP

This EVP was recorded by Laurie during our first investigation of an ongoing investigation that lasted well over a year. The family felt that they are being haunted by a 16 year old girl, named Pearle, who was killed in 1910 in a kerosene explosion. It is also believed that there are several more spirits either in the home or on the grounds. After our four investigations of the home we tend to agree with them.

Laurie captured this EVP of Ed asking “Would you like to tell us your name?” and after a short pause you will hear the response that shocked us all.

You probably figured it out before clicking here just by the description written in the paragraph above. We hear “Pearle”.

Hell’s Church Evp #2

Laurie got this Evp at Hell’s Church while she and Michele were sitting on a bench in the cemetery. Laurie had just thanked them for allowing her to sit on their bench and was saying that it was very comfortable when this EVP was recorded.  Although this EVP is faint it is Very clear, listen in the middle of the clip.  It starts before Laurie says “ehhh” and ends before she sniffs.

We hear “Bobby Joe is no good!”

Soldier’s Cemetery EVP

Soldier’s Cemetery

Ed captured this incredible EVP on our first investigations of the Soldier’s Cemetery. We felt that what Ed recorded seemed to sound like a Native American voice. We set out to find a answer and after some hard work for some of our investigators we found that we were correct. We have had this EVP listened to by two different translators who both said that the dialect is an old Creek Indian language and they both were able to translate it for us.

During one of our sweeps of the cemetery the sensitive on Ed’s team began feeling uncomfortable. We pulled to team out and asked them if they wanted to go back in and of course they did, so we replaced the sensitive with one from the other team and sent them back in. It was at this point we recorded a voice asking us why we came back after we had said we were leaving, saying roughly “I thought you said you where leaving”. This is also one of the clearest EVP’s we’ve ever recorded.

Northeast Georgia Plantation EVP

03-18-06 012
Elizabeth recorded these Two EVP’s during our first investigation of this plantation in Northeast Georgia.  In this recording Elizabeth is wearing headphones and was actually able to hear the first voice as she recorded it.  The Evp’s are very faint and the first one can be heard right as the recording starts and way before you hear Elizabeth start talking.  Michele asks what she is referring to when they both heard an answer.  Although these are very faint once you hear them and realize that because of being able to hear an EVP as it was recorded we were able to get a response.  These are really cool.

In this recording they actually tell you what to listen for. The first EVP says “I’m Guilty” and the second says “me”. The Second is VERY hard to hear but you can hear it just before Ed starts to respond too and there may be a third “me” at the end of Ed talking (between the two times Michele asks “who said me?”)

House on Horror Hill EVP

12088201_901930526567191_4542517945072976910_nThis EVP was recorded during our investigation of the House on Horror Hill in Alpharetta, GA.  The story behind this EVP and investigation that night is an interesting one.  This investigation was put together last minute because of the activity that was encountered during the house being open as a haunted house.  Several groups of guests came to us to report seeing a dark figure in one of our rooms.  It was when the actors in that room also starting reporting activity that we decided to put together an investigation after the house closed.   This EVP was captured at the end of our investigation and it was actually recorded on three of the teams recorders.

On this EVP we hear “Who’s the Bitch”. What makes this EVP such an interesting one is how loud it is and that it sounds as loud and as clear as the other voices in the room. None of the investigators heard anything at the time this was recorded and if someone on the team yelled “who’s the Bitch” there would have been some type of reaction from other team members.

To hear more about this EVP and the investigation on which it was recorded please come by the House on Horror Hill during the weekends of October. We usually have our base unit set up in front of the house. This give us the perfect location to meet with the public and talk about investigations, play EVP’s and answer questions. This investigation is almost always a part of that discussion.

The Pirate’s House EVP

EVP saying "Go Home"

People always ask me if we ever record voices saying our names and how it feels when you hear that. This EVP was captured by Ed during our investigation of The Pirate’s House in Savannah, GA and it happens to be one of the ones that says my name. I have to admit it’s both kind of cool and a little freaky to hear your name being said by something we can’t see. It also helps show that the haunting is more than likely an intelligent haunting instead of something residual.
This recording is little bit longer and runs about 5 seconds with the EVP starting just past 3 seconds.

Hell’s Church #1 – 2 EVP’s

EVP saying "Go Home"

Laurie captured these two EVPs during our investigation of Hell’s Church.  The first was recorded as her team was investigating the pavilion behind the Church. It was at the back of this pavilion that several members her team had very uneasy feelings and felt that they were being watched. It’s interesting to note that when we compared the investigation logs from both teams we found that they had both noted similar feelings in the same location.  It is in this location that Laurie recorded this EVP.

We hear “turn around and get back!” This EVP starts just after Michele says “not that I…”.

Laurie captured the second EVP as both teams were walking back to the pavilion at Hell’s Church to get more readings. They were discussing the fact that both teams had gotten uneasy feelings in that area and laughing about it. Obviously, someone felt that we did not heed his prior warning. Listen just after the laugh.

We hear “I Warned You!” This EVP starts just after the laughing.
