Historic Ghost Watch and Investigation Hot Dog Heaven September 24, 2005 Team 2: Laurie, Michele, Ed Guest: Tom Maicon (Atlantacuisine.com) Base: Mark, Kevin Investigation Report   Inside Building: Dining Room - Team recorded 2 emf readings, both were debunked as electrical equipment. Michele felt a presence had been there but was not there now- he is connected to the property not the building. Laurie heard a "male giggle", soon after, Michele felt a presence in the dining room. Laurie was touched lightly on shoulder in the dining room. During a vigil in the dining room, Laurie heard a male voice whisper the word "can't" and Michele sensed the presence of a man in a confederate uniform. She feels the man is resting in a brothel like area. Ed sensed a presence at the third table and Tom's camera turned off. Both Michele and Laurie had a pain in their right temples. Tom feels farm land going beyond the building. Land was cordoned off by a fence on the right side with horses. Michele also felt a farm predated the building on the property. Kitchen - Motion detector went off in kitchen several times- this was debunked as the movement of team members being reflected by steel refrigerator. After motion detector was moved, it didn't go off again. An EMF reading was recorded at wall over sink. This was thought to be caused by wiring in the wall. A pot was noticed to be swinging but was possibly caused by a team member bumping into it. Bathroom - Michele sensed the presence she had felt at a previous investigation at the location. She feels "he worked the land". An EMF reading was recorded at the window. This was debunked as the A/C unit beneath the window outside.   Outside of Building: Right Side of Building - Ed reported an EMF reading at fence. Michele felt that there was a long trough in the area, where the male presence tended animals, possibly pigs. Behind Building- Michel feels that the male presence is a mixed or light skinned black male. She described him as "good looking with bright eyes" in his late teens or early 20's. He was of average build but muscular from hard work. He was very proud of his work and had a good life. She feels his name may be Matt or Samuel.

Historic Ghost Watch and Investigation Hot Dog Heaven September 24, 2005 Team 2: Laurie, Michele, Ed Guest: Tom Maicon (Atlantacuisine.com) Base: Mark, Kevin Time of Event Phenomena Witnessed Location 8:53pm Motion detector goes off in the kitchen. Kitchen 9:01pm Team begins inside investigation. Dining Room 9:03pm Laurie reports a baseline temperature of 80° Dining Room 9:05pm Team got an EMF meter reading at the back counter by the drink machine. Dining Room ***De-Bunk*** Team found that the EMF meter readings were caused by a freezer unit located behind the counter. 9:07pm Team recorded an EMF meter reading by the first aid sign. Dining Room ***De-Bunk*** Team found that the EMF meter readings were caused by a condiment cooler. 9:09pm Michele feels a male presence "that has been here but is not here now". She felt that the presence has a connection to the property not the building. Hallway 9:12pm While standing just outside the bathroom Laurie heard a "male giggle" in the dining area. Hallway 9:15pm Michele feels the male presence in the dining room area near the cash register. The presence seems like it may somehow connected to the area around the right wall of the room. Dining Room 9:15pm Motion detector goes off in the kitchen. Kitchen ***De-Bunk*** De-Bunk Team found that the motion detector was being set off in the kitchen by it reading motion reflected in a stainless steel cooler. 9:18pm Baseline temperature of bathroom is 75°. Bathroom 9:20pm EMF meter reading in the bathroom by the window. Team feels that the reading may be caused by what they think is an air compressor. Bathroom ***De-Bunk*** De-Bunk Team found that the EMF reading was caused by an A/C unit outside the window. 9:21pm Michele feels the "connection" she felt earlier on the wall on the right side of the building. She feels this connection goes through the bathroom and out of the building. She feels that "he may have worked the land". Bathroom 9:23pm Team enters the kitchen. Kitchen 9:24pm Laurie reports a baseline temperature of 85°. Kitchen 9:24pm Team places a sponge on the cutting board and takes a picture. The location of the sponge will be checked for movement later in the investigation. Kitchen 9:27pm Tom got an EMF meter reading with an ELF meter. Michele did not get a reading. Toms reading was recorded all along the wall on the left hand side of the kitchen. Team feels the reading is caused by wiring in the wall. Kitchen 9:31pm Pot hanging from shelve by far end of the counter, over the sink, was swinging. Ed may have brushed against the pot, but team wanted a report placed in the log. Kitchen 9:39pm While Laurie was between the 2nd and 3rd tables she felt a light touch on her left shoulder. She described it as if someone was "using fingers, kind of like a spider". Team thinks they may be picking up something on other side of the fence. Right of Restaurant 10:09pm In the area along the right side of the restaurant Michele feels the male presence tended to animals, possibly pigs. Right of Restaurant 10:18pm Outside Investigation Ends Base Area Base sends team to reinvestigate back area of building. 10:26pm Team begins investigation of shed area. Behind Building 10:30pm Michele feels that the male presence is a mixed or light skinned black male. She described him as "good looking with bright eyes" in his late teens or early 20's. Behind Building 10:34pm Michele felt that he had a "good life and was proud of his work. Behind Building 10:37pm Michele feels that he was of average build and muscular from hard work. She didn't feel any wounds but felt "he was relaxing on something like a couch". She feels that the uniform is a Confederate uniform. Dining Room 11:50pm Michele thinks the Confederate soldier was in a brothel like location. Dining Room 11:55pm Ed felt presence at the 3rd table on the right. Dining Room 11:55pm Tom's camera cut off. Dining Room 12:01am Michele feels the farm area predates the brothel location. Dining Room 12:05am Laurie and Michele both report their right temple hurting. Dining Room 12:13am Tom feels farm land going beyond the building. Land was cordoned off by a fence on the right side with horses. Dining Room 12:18am Michele felt cold air on her face. Dining Room ***De-Bunk*** Team found that air movement was caused by a fan. 12:30am Inside Vigil Ends Dining Room An interesting note: When we first where listening to Michele report she felt a "brothel" all we could say was "well, we need to log it". We knew that the possibility of a brothel like area at this location was next to impossible. We have done some follow up research, though, and found that she may not have been as far off as we had feared. It appears that at some point in the history of this location it may have been used as a gambling house. Some of these gambling houses also had the presence of a "lady" or two who would be happy to help a winner work off some of his winnings. We feel that some of that energy may had been what Michele was sensing.

Here are just a couple of the pictures that were taken during our investigation.  Yes, in some of these, you may see an orb or two.  Please remember that orbs may be caused by many different environmental conditions.  We have included these pictures only because of the location that they show, not because of any orb they may contain.   This is a shot of the restaurant in the early hours of the morning. Note just to the right of the building is Mark running our base area. This is the plaque on the front door of the location.   Tom, our guest on this investigation.  For his first ghost investigation he did an awesome job.  This picture was taken on the right side of the building just behind our base area. This is the inside of Hot Dog Heaven, as it was seen by out investigators, on the night of the investigation.  This picture was taken from the rear of the dining room looking to the front right area. This is the area on the right hand side of the restaurant looking to the rear.  This is the area where as our sensitives started getting some of the "farm" related feelings. Here is a look at an area closer to the rear of the location.  This is an area where we focused a team on an outside vigil.  We wanted to expand on some of the "farm" related reports.

Our Conclusion

Although we were not able to record a large amount of scientific data, we were able to capture one of the clearest EVPs or Electronic Voice Phenomena we have recorded to date. Despite this amazing recording, this location has been surprisingly low on evidence. We do not feel that this necessarily means that this location isn’t haunted. We feel that we need more time to conduct further investigations in an effort to prove the location haunted.
