Ghost Tours
Many cities though out the country now feature tours full of all the drama and passion that history has to offer. Accounts of lost love, true love and murder. Tales of those that refuse to depart and those that can't. All these, the makings of the perfect ghost story. These "Ghost Tours" paint a scene from our past so vividly you may hear the galloping of horses hooves, the cries of a lover, or even the toll a bell that begged to sound hundreds of years ago. Tours end will find you wishing you for one more story and wondering if somehow your guides memory is also not of this world. Some tours enhance the drama of the stories they are telling through role playing and elaborate characters while others rely on truly gifted storytelling. Both are interesting and make for a very fun evening.

New Orleans, LA
  • Haunted History Tours

    Grade: A

Haunted History Tours is by far one the best walking ghost tour I have taken to date.  Their knowledge of the visited locations as well as their exceptional storytellers place them at the top of their field.  Although I took the ghost tour, they offer at least seven tours including Vampire Tours, Voodoo and Cemetery Tours, and Haunted Garden District Tours.

Marietta, GA
  • Ghosts of Marietta

     Grade: N/A

Join Ghosts of Marietta for a lantern-led walk through the historic streets of Marietta, Georgia. Marietta is a gem of the south with a past that is deep in tradition, history and quality of life. As with any community with these traits, some residents chose to never leave. Whether it is the departed spirit of a civil war solider or a mysterious resident of one of Marietta's stately homes or businesses, you will hear the stories behind these mysteries and as some tour guests have, you may even see them yourself. Every ghost and haunting has a story.  Experience it yourself.

Check-in for the tour at 31 Mill Street, Suite 500.  Check-in begins at 7:30pm with tours then departing from the courtyard of the Marietta Welcome Center at 8:00pm.

Tickets are $15.00 Adults, $10.00 Children (12 and under). Cash only is accepted and is payable at time of check-in. Tours last approximately 90 minutes and walk under one mile. Tour space is limited and reservations are required. Same day reservations are accepted until 6:00 p.m.

**Note: This ghost tour was not graded by Historic Ghost because HGWI and Ghosts of Marietta are partners.**

Savannah, GA
  • Ghosts & Gravestones

    Grade: B

A ghost tour on the "Trolley of the Doomed", of Old Town Trolley Tours® of Savannah gives you the ability to cover much more of the city than a walking tour. Our "gravedigger" guide was very knowledgeable and quite entertaining with a colorful grasp of the English language. I found I had little time to take pictures and only then if the subject was on my side of the trolley but that is to be expected and a small price to pay to see this much of "America's Most Haunted City". I find the $25.00 ticket price a little steep yet I am still looking forward to bringing my son when he is a couple years older.

St. Augustine, Flordia
  • A Ghostly Encounter

     Grade: A

"A Ghostly Encounter" begins in the Old Spanish Military Hospital on 3 Aviles Street. The hospital also known as "Royal Hospital of Our Lady Guadalupe" is a reconstruction of a Military Hospital that stood here from 1784 to 1821. Built on the bones of the dead this location is a perfect beginning to an incredible ghost tour. After a brief narration of the medical practices of the era you begin a tour through the narrow streets of St. Augustine. Surrounded by the sites of many of the city's most tragic occurrences, you find yourself looking over your shoulder as you leave each location. Dion, our guide, is an gifted story teller who at times mixed humor with the often frightening tales. This was a truly enjoyable tour that after over an hour and a half still had us only yearning for more.

Historic Ghost Watch and Investigation conducted its own investigation of the Spanish Military Hospital and our findings back up the claim of this being a "Certified Haunted Building".  Find out more about this investigation on here.
